How to Edit Your Published Agent

Once your agent is published, you're not locked in — it's easy to make updates and improvements to ensure it runs smoothly. Whether you are tweaking workflows, updating plugins, or refining instructions, this guide will walk you through the steps to edit your published agent.

  1. Click over the Live Agent you wish to edit. Live agents are easy to spot in your dashboard, they're labeled with "Live" right under the agent's name.

  1. Once inside the builder, you'll enter the draft version of your Agent. Think of it as a sandbox version of your agent, where you can experiment and refine without affecting the live version of your agent. However, you can at anytime switch between the versions to compare the agent settings.

  1. We recommend testing all changes in your draft version, whether it is the installation of a new plugin or workflow changes, to ensure everything works smoothly before applying them to your Live Agent.

  1. If everything is working properly in the draft version, push the draft version updates to the live agent by clicking Publish.

If you only edit and save changes in the draft version, the live agent will not be updated — only the draft will reflect those changes. This allows you to test and debug new behaviors safely. Additionally, this step is necessary if you need to save changes to multiple workflows separately before applying them to the live agent.
